That screenshot was from a very old version which had a limit in scanning but that is removed now.
The 255 detection limit is a per-scan limit which is done intentionally to reduce resource overhead (and if a user is actually infected with 255 infections... ) but you can remove as many infections as you like ![]() |

An on-demand scan with Prevx is an inaccurate way to test its effectiveness. You would need to run each sample to accurately test its protection, and we haven't designed our engine to work well for testers - we design it to work well for users, who prefer low memory overhead and fast scanning and to do that we needed to implement some restrictions on scans. |

How does Prevx know that it finds stuff on peoples pc's that already have an AV/AS solution? Does Prevx "inventory" the users computer and report the results during a normal scan? I am impressed by this product if there is anything else prevx reports about what's on my pc.

We look at the Windows Security Center and report the active antivirus product up to the central database, as well as the operating system version number. Correlating infection results alongside the AV came as a side-effect of this measure which we use to ensure compatibility with other security products/operating systems as a double-check to see if we are still seeing active agents running on these platforms. |
