How to harden Firefox?

Hi,

I'm using Firefox right now,
but I'm not sure which extensions I should use to harden it.

Only extensions I know is NoScript, Adblock Plus, WOT...

Can you recommend me some extensions that hardens Firefox?

No reason to go overboard. Noscript is enough, for all practical purposes. If you really must, Adblock too. That's basically that. The rest is perks. Cookies are harmless. An interesting extension for SSL sites is Perspectives.

It stops Firefox from automatically filling in your User Name and Password for websites... Until you use your Key

Note!
It does Not store your passwords or collect any information about you
It simply works with the integrated.. Firefox - Password Manager

1/ When you install it... The little key should automatically appear at the top of Firefox for you

If you have a password for a website...
The log in box will become outlined ... & ... You then just click the key once to log in.
If you don't have a password for a website...

And it will tell you Something Like... " No! Log In Information Available For This Website "

Feb22, not an extension for cookies, yet I have grown fond of Ghostery, an add-on that "watches the Web watching you."

Personally, I find NoScript too much of a hassle for almost no reward (in my experience).

Rather, I go with greasemonkey and get User Scripts for specific things I don't like (for example, google tracking). This way it disables it without bugging me about every site I want to allow (noscript).

I've reached that point myself. I am now using adblock plus with the easy privacy list as a sort of substitute. Also use "quick java". It puts two buttons in the status bar to enable/disable java/javascript.
