Default How to harden Firefox?

Hi,

I'm using Firefox right now,
but I'm not sure which extensions I should use to harden it.

Only extensions I know is NoScript, Adblock Plus, WOT...

Can you recommend me some extensions that hardens Firefox?

Thanks in advance!

No reason to go overboard. Noscript is enough, for all practical purposes. If you really must, Adblock too. That's basically that. The rest is perks. Cookies are harmless. An interesting extension for SSL sites is Perspectives.

Hi Feb22

One Add On That I Really Like
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...n/4429#reviews

Basically!
It stops Firefox from automatically filling in your User Name and Password for websites... Until you use your Key

Note!
It does Not store your passwords or collect any information about you
It simply works with the integrated.. Firefox - Password Manager

I realised its security usefulness while reading this..
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/inter...in-in-firefox/

Tip!
1/ When you install it... The little key should automatically appear at the top of Firefox for you
Tip!
2/ If you can't remember what websites you already have passwords for...
While at the website login page -- You just hover your mouse pointer over the key
If you have a password for a website...
The log in box will become outlined ... & ... You then just click the key once to log in.
If you don't have a password for a website...
While at the website login page -- You just hover your mouse pointer over the key
And it will tell you Something Like... " No! Log In Information Available For This Website "

Not hardening etc , but similar to last post , is lastpass.

Plan on installing it myself sometime soon , when I stop reading wilders for a minute

Feb22, not an extension for cookies, yet I have grown fond of Ghostery, an add-on that "watches the Web watching you."

I second Mrkvonic's suggestion of Perspectives!

Personally, I find NoScript too much of a hassle for almost no reward (in my experience).

Rather, I go with greasemonkey and get User Scripts for specific things I don't like (for example, google tracking). This way it disables it without bugging me about every site I want to allow (noscript).

I find it quite old.
However, it seems effective.

The paper had to reflect mid-1980's technology in order to encompass Internet Explorer.

I've reached that point myself. I am now using adblock plus with the easy privacy list as a sort of substitute. Also use "quick java". It puts two buttons in the status bar to enable/disable java/javascript.
