Hi,

now there is a Templates.ini in Sandboxie's program folder which contains predefined rules for applications.

For example, if you "Allow direct access to entire Firefox profile" via Sandbox Settings, then there is a line in the Sandboxie.ini:
folderTemplate=Firefox_Profile_DirectAccess
And the related settings for this template can be found in the Templates.ini.

In my opinion these new settings and templates for application make Sandboxie much easier to configure for the common users.

These are the changes to Sandboxie since version 3.34.

Translations:

* Albanian translation contributed by Besmir Godole.

* Russian translation contributed by Sergey Burkun.

New Features:

* New application configuration system makes it easy to activate configurations and resolve conflicts with third-party software.
* Intercept AutoPlay notifications for better protection of CD/DVD and USB drives which are protected (forced) by Sandboxie.

Fixes:

* Sandboxie Control does not abort if the tray icon cannot be installed.
* Border around sandboxed windows uses less CPU resources and does not appear around full screen Web video windows.

* Fixes related to Windows Vista:

* Support "Run As" UAC elevation requests for sandboxed programs.
* Fixed a problem with Internet Explorer 8 when User Account Controls (UAC) is enabled.
* Fixed a problem that prevented a clean start of Windows Installer.
* Fixed a problem with starting Windows Live Messenger.
* Fixed a problem with use of some plug-and-play hardware such as webcams and joysticks.

* Fixes to Quick Recovery and Immediate Recovery:
o Correctly recover files that have a long name or a long path.
o Suspend Immediate Recovery notifications until the file is no longer in use by the application that created it.
o Improved support for Immediate Recovery with Google Chrome and Microsoft Office products.

* Many more fixes under a hood for a smoother Sandboxie experience.

Third-party software:

* Resolved conflict with eEye Blink (version 4.3.0 or later)
* Resolved conflict with Outpost Firewall during installation.

from my experience SB open + browse fireFox slowly , i mean more slow than FF open with out SB installed

Can't answer and to tell the truth I don't care. With Sandboxie, I have the peace of mind. Worth the few seconds.

No such thing as bulletproof protection haha, read my thread "No such thing as 100%". All you really need is a HIPS, some sort of black-listing technology, a dose of common sense, (and a rollback management system). But yeah, whatever makes you happy is fine too!

Back on topic, well done SandBoxie!

Well I didn't go as far as to say nuclear bunker protection but SBIE does offer protection against the overwhelming majority of threats.

As for slowdown I'm the most impatient user ever and hate delays but SBIE really only adds minimally to the time Opera takes to initialize (FF slightly more but still not a threat to my blood pressure.)
