Action center is reporting that Virus protection is ON and that it's up to date ?

If it does then it's some bug in Hitman Pro.
But that's just my thinking.
Can't tell you for sure.

yes action center is reporting that prevx is on and working so this must be a bug with hitman pro, at least i hope so anyway...

Just tried with Win7 32-bit; HMP does not seem to remember the settings here.

I can confirm the problem. This particular setting is not stored. We will fix this in the next version. Sorry for the inconvenience.

When I asked no one answered, I have to ask again, it creates an entry in the registry?

any chance to get a one click scan option, such as bitdefenders quickscan, which starts scanning once you click the icon?

You can already do this. Just create a shortcut to the HitmanPro35.exe program on your computer (C:\Program Files\Hitman Pro 3.5) and add the switches /scan and /quick. Example:
"C:\Program Files\Hitman Pro 3.5\HitmanPro35.exe" /scan /quick

Just ran HMP (113) and it did the online update to 114, but HMP crashes after the update. It no longer runs on my Vista (32-bit). Restarting it doesn't help either. Crash happens right after the menu appears. The update may be corrupted although the digital signature seems to be intact.

md5sum "C:\Program Files\Hitman Pro 3.5\HitmanPro35.exe"
d738db552371ea4f0dec310b0ea57274 *HitmanPro35.exe

I'm not having any problems on Win 7 32bit and I did a scan afterwards! I will Boot into Win 7 64bit to see if it installs OK!

TH

EDIT: And no problem installing on Win 7 64bit!

Wow it's amazing how much this topic has grown since I left. Now I got some major catching up to do.

btw I think a title change is needed for this topic. Should I rename it to
"The Official Hitman Pro Discussion Thread"
?
