Hi wutsup. I scanned two computers with build 113 and did not get the ad you mentioned. I am using HMP free.

Are you executing the Hitman Pro file downloaded (HitmanPro35) or another one created by Hitman Pro during install (Hitman Pro 3.5)?

It's the one placed here:
"C:\Program Files\Hitman Pro 3.5\HitmanPro35.exe"

I'm not aware that there are two different .exe files. Is that what you are implying?

I see the same symptoms on both XP SP3 and Vista SP2. Can someone please try to switch from quick scan to default scan in the settings, close the app and then restart it and report back if the change sticks or not?

Thanks....

I've always thought they worked well. CCleaner's registry cleaner is safe. The laptop I'm on, my startup and shutdown times seem to be the same as when I first bought it.

Regarding Uniblue's registry booster, thought I'd google it, for no other reason in that Hitman Pro are obviously using it to suppliment their income (free scans, many people, cleaning, Hitman Pro is picking up the tab). Here's some testing by overclocker's website.

Conclusion:
I have to admit I was a bit shocked on how well the Uniblue Registry Booster 2010 performed. I know that in a Windows OS that the registry plays a big part on the load times of the OS and more especially when overly crowded and full of unused junk from old programs and more. The biggest improvement was to the Windows startup and shutdown times form both systems. The desktop computer started a full 14 seconds quicker, which when you are wanting to get into your computer and start working, this extra time makes a big difference. The netbook gained an 18 second improvement, which is even more impressive, since everyone knows a netbook takes a long time to accomplish any task. There was not much improvement on the other tests, because quite frankly, with the exception of the Microsoft Word test on the netbook, the others didn't have much time to take off. However, they only take a couple of seconds to start, so there is not really any room for improvement there. Overall the program does what it is designed to do and improved the system speeds a bit. Though at the normal retail price of $39.99, it is a little bit much for the improvement times we saw, albeit an effective piece of software.

Maybe if there were some free trials I'd give it a whirl, but at the moment, on download.com, the product seems to be limited to fix only a small amount of errors it finds.

Why are we talking about registry cleaners here?
May be jmonge were talking about scanning for infected registries like MBAM, SAS, Bitdefender, AVG scans. These are totally different from running registry cleaners that claim to remove junk registries. Scanning for infected registries may come handy.

Yes cleaning infected registries would be good but as jmonge said he would like it added, to me it sounded like what was in the ad that HMP was advertising that he wanted added!

I never got "the ad" after upgrading to build 113. Feel left out now

Maybe it's country specific?

Hitman Pro with real-time capabilities would be legendary!

Furthermore, my friend got infected by a rouge AV the other day. I told him to install Hitman Pro (somehow he managed to do that despite the infection) and BOOM. After one regular search and a reboot and he was good to go with his computer again.

Wow, never thought requesting such a simple task would be so difficult for all the experts here. I'm just trying to see if this problem is at my end or not since I see this setting not sticking on two different OSes.
