Default Where is "Check partition"? Windows only?

In a review of DD10 I saw this image:

http://eerstelinie.nl/merken/acronis/img_dd/start.jpg

That "Check" menu item for partitions is not present in my latest version of DD (build 2160; safe/DOS and full/Linux mode)...

Where did it go? How can I (re-)enable it? (or is this only available under Windows??)

I really needed it today because of a corrupt partition...

The Check feature uses chkdsk and is only available under Windows, BartPE or WinPE/VistaPE.

Ah, would not have helped me then...

(the system partition was corrupted, so I could not start chkdsk from there - I was hoping DD would be my workaround)
