Hello ,

Exposure to the Win32/Conficker malware was not due to your ESET security product, but to a Microsoft operating system vulnerability [Microsoft released a patch for this vulnerability in October 2008]. If you have not fully removed the Win32/Conficker malware, please refer to the following Microsoft knowledgebase article for removal instructions:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/962007

For maximum protection against future threats, make sure your operating system is patched according to Microsoft's recommendations, and that your ESET security product is up to date.

Thank you,
Richard
