Default Mandriva 2009 - Quite all right, but could be better - Review & mini tutorial

Hello all,

I've written a long and thorough review of Mandriva 2009 running KDE 4.1.

I've tested the distro on three machines, including 2 laptops and 1 virtual machine and done quite a bit of checks: Wireless, Compiz, Web camera, multimedia codecs, NTFS support, installation, updates, the choice of applications, unique features, issues, and more.

If you're interested:

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Regards,
Mrk

Excellent report as usual Mrk, I have been quite tempted by Mandriva and your after reading your report, I might take it out for a spin.

Does this distro have stepped or rolling repository releases?

Thanks in advance.

Mandriva is on a release cycle like Ubuntu, its not a rolling release.
