Hi1
I have configured a perfect ruleset for an application and I'm running ESS in interactive mode. Is it possible to stop *every* prompt for new rules to that specific application but still run interactive mode? Thanks! |

Hello Xophile,
You will need to switch to policy mode. You have resolved your issue in http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=232996, correct? Thank you, Richard |

I haven't tried switching to profile mode yet.
One question though: If I have aperfect ruleset and then as a last entry create a rule telling ESS to block *everything*. Would that work? |

Hello,
You can create rules that block specifics but once you create a rule saying to block everything then it will block everything. Thank you, Richard Last edited by Rmuffler : February 18th, 2009 at 04:50 PM. |

I'd merely add that less general rules will take precedence. For instance, if you create a rule to block everything and also another one that will allow communication for specific applications, the communication for those applications will be allowed.

I think an application can't think instead of you, so there is a 5 modes in v4, and this is enough, so make it change . |
