Unhappy True Image 10.0 very slow recovery

IT took 4 hours to recover a 30Gb system partition from a hard disc tib file to the original partition on the same machine using a bootable acronis recovery CD.
The destination disc is attached to a Gigabyte raid controller (GBB36X). Is it normal for it to take so long or is there a fix I can apply to speed up the recovery?

Hi. I've only had to restore a system a couple of times in the past 4 years but the recovery procedure did take a long time and what you're describing seems normal. One of the partitions I had to restore last contained 110gb worth of games and I'm sure it took over 10hrs.

At least (fingers crossed) it's not something you have to do on a regular basis.

Hope this helps.
