Testing RVS on Windows 7 x32

Hi,
Our internal testing team has had good results so far with the current Win 7 Beta and is looking for your feedback when testing RVS 2.0.1 on the new OS. All feedback is welcome, but please do not do this if you are not an experienced tester!

Known issue: The current line up of RVS tools, included with the 2.0.1 version, may be incompatible with the latest Win 7 Beta. Early testing indicates that on some systems, a critical stop error may occur when attempting to use either the Real Systems Autoruns or the Anti-Execute plug-ins so testers should be aware of this and avoid using the tools for the time being on Win 7.

You will need to get a special installation version from us by direct download that will install in Win 7. To get a download link, please send us a request using the Beta Test reporting link:

known issue: The current implementation of the File Protection feature is also potentially incompatible with Win 7 so testers are cautioned not to use it for now.

The main focus for reporting should be the System Protection and Virtual Partition features until a new Beta update is released.

Known Issue update: We have become aware of a current incompatibility when testing the current RVS Beta on Windows 7 Beta when Kaspersky AV is also installed. We are working to isolate the issue and release a new testing build that addresses this. For the time being, Returnil testers should not attempt to test both products at the same time under Windows 7 until a new Returnil build is available.

NOTE: This is only valid under Windows 7 Beta, there are no reports to indicate that there are any issues when using Kaspersky and RVS under the currently supported OS versions (XP, Server 2003, and Vista x32)
