I presume the free version still has a time limit, right?

With a new option "Restricted for trusted" so you can use it as firewall, no raw IP check only TCP/UDP.

Restrictions posed upon by using Window internal security mechanismes is explained (when untrusted status is kept, when altered), so that is good also.

Congrats: The life of Brian has a bright side after all :D

    Cheers Kees

It can be installed now with out the need to disable UAC.However problems for me right after install. The popup to isolate for firefox would poup and vansish before I could select to isolate, I had to select Auto Isolate for Firefox.Problem with thunderbird email clent,Some weird message No read/write access permission or disk full and Conflicting issue with Zemana Antilogger and or Norton UAC tool. When I double click Geswall from the tray it triggers Zemana for Norton UAC tool for consent. When I grant permission Allow and remember it doesn't.Its a constent occurance of Zemana and Norton UAC.I going to Assume its a conflic between Norton UAC and or Zemana with geswall on and not sandboxie since I shut down Sandboxie entirely. Not quite sure whats going on here but it does not work for me as the previous version did.

    Hi,

with XP SP3 and OA AV+ the whole system hangs as soon as I start any application.
Disabled OA auto startup with the system, but this did not solve the problem.

I have installed the free version of Geswall - strange wise it isolated SnagIt without a warning, when I launched it. :argh:

With Vista SP1 it worked without any problem, only security software installed was Returnil.

As I have used Geswall Free, I was wondering about the Application Wizard in this version. Is this only for trial period or permanent available with the free version?

And if so, what's the difference between free and paid apart from predefined rules for irc, p2p etc.?

    Cheers

In my experience - I've used Geswall for months - the program has not bugs, but it has some problems of cohabitation with other security softwares: the pc generally hangs 4 this reason.

So, when 99.9 percent of all of the other software products that I try on my PC work, then when the new released Geswall doesnt, it is my PC faults. 2 letters answer that. BS. It is as flaky as a bowl of Corn Flakes. Geez, come on Aigle, you been testing it for awhile so I guess it does work with all your apps. It will be good in time, but right now it sucks, and Ilya would never ever have done this to his customers.

I am using it with XP SP2 and CFP. No problems so far.

The best is to write to the support( Brian) about the problems so that they can fix any bugs/ conflicts. In the past, I had used previous versions with so many security software without conflicts( all on XP, no Vista experience).

Do not run sandboxie with Geswall.
    They have conflicts.

Thanks LW I figured they might so I tested outside of SB.Now for Geswall install the results turned out the same as my previous post however after discovered that OA Had problems some form or another with DW problem another post.I had the same findings with GW and OA,even a disabled OA Geswall wouldn't run correctly,an uninstall of OA has corrected this.It may be just on my end but a heads up all the same.

Does anyone know what the pro version license policy for geswall is?.I want to know whether the software is still usable or becomes disabled if a license is not renewed.

License is good for life I think( about 100 years, not sure). Version upgrades are free unless there is amjor version change like from v 2 to v 3.
