Default Any way to get updated NIS2009 install files now?

Every few months I would go to the Norton site and grab a new copy of the trial version, install it with my existing key and all was good.

Yesterday I tried getting a trial copy of 2009 to use with my 2009 key (hopefully getting the 16.2.x.x update instead of having to wait for liveupdate..)

Nope. Now they are demanding an account be created AND a credit card be entered to get the trial.

Bull. Is there an alternate way to get updated versions like that or has that door closed? Hopefully I'm just missing something.

Last time I checked a week ago they had the 16.1 patch slipstreamed with Norton.

It still is, I'm afraid. Guess you have to install that one, and then update from there.

Quite right, that's what i wrote. You have to install the 16.1.0.33 (from the link you gave us), and then run LU from there

Cheers
