Just "Trust" IE and you should be fine. If i were you i would probably re-download my IE incase its infected.

See Top bar and the bar to the right hand side. Trust and Extended options. This are the ones you want.

I guess i will have to wait another year before i can run Twister again... Shame... I am disappointed...

Well, at least it's lifetime license... Hopefully they will release an x64 version before either them or me go belly up.

Probably since their main audience is in China , their decision is wise as far as marketing goes. Probably people there don't have cutting edge hardware to run 64bit OS as mainstream in the first place.

But for me... it's a let down. I guess i am no longer a Twistee for indefinite time... And not by my choice.

What has happened to twistee.org?
It is now hosting a poker site.
Twisters home page no longers shows a link to the forum either.
Guess it has gone for good.

I bought a lifetime license for TAV. TAV is installed on my computer, updated daily, & used on-demand (from time to time), but Avira Premium is my mainstay.

TAV has 2 components: (1) antivirus, & (2) behavior-blocker-type-HIPS.

The proponent of TAV (Filseclab) has been working on an engine update for several months (they are a small outfit, so I am told). The update will (hopefully) be issued around mid-2010.

AFAIK, the latest test that included TAV was done in Nov 2009, downloadable HERE. TAV's results are labelled as "Filseclab".

A very slow scan 2 hours 47 minutes for 32 gb.
On the plus side though not one false positive (Windows 7) with settings as 3DFireStarteR has from his first post http://i38.tinypic.com/2vmwxf9.gif

They are still updating frequently, currently on their 20th update of the day at 19:34 their time.
The number of definitions has also increased dramatically since i last used Twister.

A new and optimised driver has been released for Twister.

Quote:
The filseclab release a new optimized driver for Twister Anti-TrojanVirus. It was said that it could reduce the startup time.
Jieruibeibei from www.ftfans.org tests it, and said that it can also reduce the pagefile occupancy.

Download Link://www.filseclab.net/down/immdrv_fast.zip

Important: We have not tested it on a english version windows.

Quote:
The readme.txt traslation.

Quit the Twister

Copy the immdrv.sys to the Twister's directory and overwrite the older version

Double click the install.reg and choose yes to import the content into registry

Directly reset the computer, do not start the Twister before reset

I was really starting to like this program.......when it works. I tried it on two different Win7-32bit machines, and it caused multiple blue screen crashes on both of them. Maybe I will try it again when they release the next build.

I'm sorry to hear about your BSODs. In the very long Twister threads here at Wilders, a few such crashes have been reported but most folks, like myself, have had no problems. Have you checked for possible conflicts with other security softwares?

P.S. I am not presently running Twister in real-time, but it is installed on my computer & I update it daily, for on-demand use.

I removed all other security software. I was never able to complete a scan, but it also would cause my PC to crash during regular use.

Malware detests the presence of security software and (in some cases) will take action to kill it or screw it up. You might want to do a very deep scan with (say) MBAM & A2 & your AV. And/or the online scanners.

P.S. Does anyone have a list of urls for online scanners? I do not have one & would like to grab a copy of yours.

Try an antivirus live CD - Kaspersky's good in my experience. Sometimes a scan from a separate OS can see stuff that's hidden to the "eyes" of software working within the infected OS.

I'll try, but it would surprise me that I had disk problems on two different PCs. I wonder if the program does not like Dropbox. That is really the only constant between the two PCs(in terms of software).
