Hello,
I downloaded the new Acronis 2009 TryOut and tried to install it. Before I installed it, I removed my ATI 11 Version and restarted the computer. Then I started the new Acronis 2009 setup. I chose the "complete" option. At the end of the install the progress bar didn't move further and the install stuck at this point. After waiting several minutes I just restarted the pc, although the window was still open. After the restart I did run the installation again. This time I chose the "repair" option. The progress seemed to finish without any problems. Is my installation of Acronis 2009 now successful? Thank you ![]() |

When you launch the program, does it come up? If it does, try doing a Backup of your system. You can also make the Rescue CD. If these actions procede without error then I would say the installation was successful.

Yes the program comes up and it seems that I can make backups.
I just wonder what setup is doing in the repair option. If its just reinstalling the hole thing everything should be okay now, but thats the point I don't know. |

Hello Pay87 and DwnNdrty,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software. Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response. Th Repair installation will install the software again over existing version (useful if your version installed incorrectly). In your case, we would not recommend you to perform such installation, because software works correctly. Detailed information about Acronis True Image Home product can be found in User's Guide. Thank you. -- Alexander Nikolsky
