Default Apuc.blahblah

Need some help with this. Bargain buddy that I thought I had removed showed back up mysteriously. Where does this come from. Put a glophone on my desktop. I think I found the file on my c:drive.

Oh! and dont laugh but I forgot my password to SG and it is running so I hope this won't bother any fixes. don't worry I'll remember it.

Ok! I've done as you suggest dan but folders/files names don't match up with instructions from printout.
I do have a Bargains.lgc in windows/applog. There is also a bargainbuddy.exe on my HDD. The instructions speak of deregistering the .dll file before removing anything else. I searched the .dll file in this manner ie:apuc*.* also apuc*.dll since there are diff vers out there. No find. View all files is on. There is also a bargainbuddy[1] in my temp internet files. Can I just delete all this stuff, or is there some other form of help from that site you gave?
Oh! and it takes two add/remove requests for windows to remove the bargain buddy prog from the window. Yes I did wait for a response before the second request was made. The second request gave a response " do you want to remove bargain buddy from the programs window". I think this has something to do with it showing back up.
I hope this is enough info. Any more ideas?

Looking at your log I'd say the dll was already unregistered.
Fix with HijackThis, while all other windows are closed:
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

Then run AdAware or Spybot S&D once more and you should be fine.

Pieter
