Restore disc in linux? (echo) how to specifiy CIFS share?

If anyone has experience with True Image for Linux (Echo), I'm curious about the UI for the rescue disk. I know, I should simply try it out myself, but I'm faced with the tricky problem: I need to write instructions for some less experienced users before the product arrives.

• Is there a menu-directed interface to reach a CIFS smb share, or is windows // / notation used?
• Also: Does the linux rescue disc have a network configuration option for static IP on the machine?

There is 'smb://' notation used instead of Windows '\\' one. E.g., you can access your samba share using the following UNC path:

smb://hostname/share_name/backup_file_name

Linux rescue disc has a network configuration option for static IP on the machine.
