Default Unallocated space that Disk Director shows

My Windows partition spans the entire 500GB drive. When I go into Disk Management it shows the whole thing with nothing else. Yet when I boot the Disk Director CD and look at what it shows me it looks like it shows about 7GB of unallocated space.

So Windows shows me one thing and Acronis Disk Director shows me another. I shouldn't have any unallocated space. All I have is one huge partition on my system drive.

So is this a case of Disk Director reporting bogus info?

357mag:

Is that 7 GB or 7 MB? If the latter, then it's only that DD is reserving space for a future primary partition entry, in case you'd ever decide to add one. This is a tiny fraction of the total 500 GB disk space so it isn't worth worrying about.
