What exactly does "fix" mean? What is broken that needs to be fixed?

Basically illegal cracks for programs (i.e. to activate the product for free). This is software piracy and I am alerting the other companies. Thanks for the images, they help as evidence.

This is a quote from one of their administrators.

    Is that funny or what?

Well I guess we know how professional they are. Why pay for software when you can get it for free. I wonder if they even tested the AV's or did they just make up results. Here's a hint if your going to steal. YOU SHOULD HIDE.

Third, Just because we list some links to some cracks, that does NOT make us a crack site and does NOT discredit our Anti-Malware Testing Methods or results.

This is to funny. You can't make this stuff up. I'm glad he cleared that up. LOL

Oh, so to prevent people from getting cracks from malicious sources, they post some fresh working cracks themselves! Great!

See, that's called "independent testing" these days... You don't ask vendors for licenses for testing, you crack it. :D :D :D

BTW, the pathetic low lives have deleted all nosirrah's posts from the testing thread and apparently banned him from their forum.

They might not host them but they definitely point to them alright and IMHO that policy & practice directly indicts them as disgustingly dishonest and discredits any tests they claim to conduct.

You reading this SSU? Sure you are.

I am permanently locking the thread at COMODO too. I am also Alerting Comodo as a company.

Thanks for all the posts. It pretty much says it all!

The more you read of this thread, the bigger the sense of disbelief grows at what you are reading.

If last week someone had said these events would unfold, there would have been posts of ''no, that could never happen''

    Really unbelievable.

The site itself appears to be solely for a SpySweeper tool (to pirate it) - Spy Sweeper Updater. A "professional" anti-virus test from them is laughable.

nosirrah himself deleted his own posts.
These guys are bit abrasive but calling them low lives is stretching things too far.My opinion for sure.

Without addressing the quality of the test (and I presume a real test took place, I haven't dissected this thread) it's sad to see VIPRE ranking so low.

Are there any other comparative (preferably not just on-demand) tests of VIPRE ?

Well, probably b/c they didn't match the high posting standard of that forum? :D :D :D

BTW, Registration Terms & Rules for a good laugh. Nice to see all those moderators and admins to abide by them...
