Site Advisor Alternative for Opera?

is there anything even similar to site advisor that can be used in opera, that will show a green or red icon beside searches on google, etc. somethin like that.

No, but Opera has integrated Haute Secure's database along with other 2 phishing databases, so I don't think you really need it. After all, those kind of programs aren't really reliable.

well is ther anyway to make it more visible, with like an option to display like maybe agreen icon for good, or something along those lines, cause i dont see any visual way of knowing when im like searching google.

I understand that mywot and greenborder offer a somewhat similar functionality.

IIRC there is no Mywot available for Opera.

Hi, you have some choices in Opera.

First you can use Scandoo as your default search engine in Opera. It will mark the sites just like site advisor. How good it is I can,t say as it is in beta since long.

Your second choice is actually built in HauteSecure technology. It will not mark serached sites but it will stop access to some malicious sites.

IMO HausteSecure too seems to be not so efficient and its dvelopment seems stagnant. It,s beta since long as well.

You can use standslone HauteSecure as wel but I am not sure it supports Opera or not. Their support claimed so as some one posted here but web site does not say so and in my personal experience some times it worked with opera and some times did not.

See it in action( it,s rare to see that).

Third and the best option is paid LinkScanner. It should be the best option although I am not sure what is the status of standalone LinkScanner after it has been acquired by VG.

It supports opera.

Good tips. Haute Secure does not support Opera, but to the benefits of Opera users, they have an agreement stating that Opera uses teh Haut Secure data bases.

What I remember with the stand alone LinkScanner was that it did work with Opera stoppng/blocking of bad websites as well as exploits, but the site rankings with search engines only worked with IE and Firefox.
