All OS have files in their Bootwiz subfolders, Not detected at bootup.

I need some help.

I have a new laptop with a single hard drive that by using DirectorySuite10 now has 5 partitions with the "system folder Protection" option ON.
1Vista
2Vista --------- This one caused the problem
Data
1WinXP
Vista Recovery

I had both my 1Vista, 1WinXP, Data, Working just fine. The Vista Recovery failed to be found by Bootwiz.

After copying my 1Vista partition to unallocated space to create the 2Vista, rebooted and only Vista Recovery (Now) shows in the Bootwiz (OS selector) window at startup.
It looks like all of the OS are there, just that the Window folder for each has been moved to the bootwiz folder as expected. But, being that I can not boot into anything, and I tried (using a liveWinXP Bart disk to boot into ) to copy the Windows files back into the Windows Root folder without any luck due to file protection.

Sorry if a thread already exists, I have tried the search function and looked at pages of threads in the forum.

How do I get Bootwiz to look at it's own files.

You shouldn't need to use Folder Protection or have OSS copy system folders into the BOOTWIZ folder when each OS is on its own partition.

Is there a reason you've setup the system this way?

Thanks for replying. Yes each OS is under it's own partition. I used the Copy OS from the top OS selector window at boot up and it created these windows folders under Bootwiz directory. Now I did have two versions of WinXP on a single partition a while back, (with this configuration I could not boot my Vista from the boot window) could this have moved all Window OS to the bootwiz subfolder to protect them? If I did not hear from anyone in the forum, I was going to try a text search for the subfolder names and see where and how they are used. Today I got the 1WinXP to show up and load, all I did was boot OS selector from the CD and tried the repair function, like I have done so many times before. Another problem is not having any mouse control and only able to use the limited key commands. I will deal with that later, I noticed someone posted the same problem today, I will read.

What partition has OSS installed to it (the partition with the main BOOTWIZ folder)?

Do you have a recent backup of the drive you could restore?

I haven't used the Copy OS feature that much (only in testing) as I tend to avoid the more potentially problematic features. Your files are probably there and, if you take over the permissions, you probably can access them. However, you may not be able to recover the booting setup if OSS (or something else) has corrupted it.
