Default Blocked apps tunneling thru ekrn\port 80..??

Ok, someone told me that this is an issue.
This is the example they gave me.

If you have blocked Adobe update with a rule it can now bypass the firewall because it now tunnels through the ekrn.exe service that is monitoring all port 80 traffic.
This would be using eset av, but not eset firewall.

Any truth to this..??

Thanks.

Yes.. If I remember correctly it has been discussed to death in several threads.. in both this forum, Agnitums forum, etc..

The only solution to this is to set Nod32 to monitor applications rather than ports, then exclude just about everything (except maybe your main browser and email app)..
