Default Firefox security settings and add-ons

Yeah I know there's a very long similar thread, except being new to Firefox I am only interested in security add-ons and the various settings to use with Firefox overall. The other various add-ons, while I'm sure are useful, at this point I just want to make the most of Firefox. So far I love it and wish I would have left IE a long time ago. Thanks

flyted, this thread of mine should get you started: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showp...90&postcount=4

NOTE: NoScript is at 1.8 now. Hopefully, others will soon offer their advice as well.

Thanks, thats a good start. In tools/options/advanced/encryption, I haven't figured out what that does yet, even after reading the help file. Anything of use there or is it all automatic?

I believe they refer to secure protocols used by bank sites etc. Please someone correct me if I am wrong.

flyted,
ThunderZ is correct. Mostly default, automatic settings in the Encryption tab yet make sure that both Use SSL 3.0 and Use TTL 1.0 are checked. Also, under the Certificates section > When a server requests my personal certificate: the Ask me every time option should be selected.

Hi, with Opera there was a setting to "Turn off Referrer" I can find addons for FF that allow right click open site without referrer, but I can't find a simple on/off for referrer info. Anybody found one? Thanx

Edit: Would you believe it, the very next one I try after posting has this feature, so in case anyone else is interested
