Default Remote administrator & finding computers

For anyone who's running the remote administrator console:

When I go to "Find" unregistered computers, it pulls up a list of machines that don't have the software installed. However, we have several users who connect via vpn and are given an ip address that is in the range that should be scanned by the "find" command, but they're not appearing.

So the question is, when I click find, what parameters does it use to look for computers? I.e. can I specifically input the address ranges & subnets I want it to look thru?

Thanks.

I think it uses the browser service (same stuff as the list of computers in "My Network Places" to find computers in the network and then checks them against the list of clients it has in the clients tab.

If these VPN workstations show up in there they should show up in RAC/RAS.
