unhandled exception in ekrn.exe

Hi All,

I've started getting the MS Visual Studio Just-in-Time Debugger popping up with:

An unhandled exception occurred in ekrn.exe [2844]

I have not installed any new programs recently, at least not to my knowledge , and the number inside the brackets will change ocassionally. Also, this happens both wired and wirelessly (not sure if it matters...).

I am using 3.0.669.0 with the following installed components:

Virus signature database: 3266 (20080714)
Update module: 1024 (20080514)
Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1130 (20080708 )
Advanced heuristics module: 1071 (20080509)
Archive support module: 1079 (20080509)
Cleaner module: 1031 (20080630)
Anti-Stealth support module: 1001 (20080616)

Kaspersky online scan turns up nothing.

Does anybody have any ideas?
