Why is NOD32 2.7 still using the old Advanced heuristics module from 12.02.08? while version 3.0 uses new AH module from 09.05.08 ?

Has Eset stopped further development of AH modules for version 2.7 ?

    Hello,

Not all of the functions introduced in a module are applicable across each version. Also, a module may be updated in one version of the software and not another for various reasons unrelated to detection, i.e., to fix a buffer overrun.

    Regards,

I think it will be time to go goodbye to the version 2.70.39 and migrate to 3.0.667 (Spanish version) to get better protection

    greetings

I like my nod32 v.2.70.39 and I don't think leave this and go to the new version of ESET nod32.

If I should choose another anti virus it's Avira not NOD32 v.3!!!

I use v.2.7 until it will be supported by Eset.

Missed old AH module ? Lower detection ?

    Hello,
I noticed that Eset released a new AH module for NOD32 2.7 (AH module version 1073)
But 2.7 did not get the previous AH module update which was provided only for Version 3.0
Can this have any differences in the AH detection rate of NOD32 2.7 and 3.0

I request an Eset Moderator to confirm whether this would cause a difference in the detection rates by AH for 2.7 and 3.0, or the AH detection remains the same for both versions ?

The detection capabilities of v2 and v3 are same with the exception of active rootkits whose detection has been improved and is updated in V3 on a regular basis.
