WOW, after reading these forums, I'm getting a bit nervous about buying Acronis at all.
Problems and slow support response = disaster. Anyway. I am looking for help with best practices for: 1 - Installing TI SBS on an SBS 2003 server. 2 - After the restore, are permissions reset to what they were? 3 - Should system state be backed up seperate? 4 - Any step by step for SBS 2003 from installation, backup and restore. Thanks, Carmine |

Hello Cepolly,
Thank you for your interest in Acronis Remote Small Business Server Backup Software. We are sorry for delayed response. After a full restoration of a system all permissions and data will be the same as they were. If you're restoring separate files, you have an option to keep permissions, or reset them. Please notice that Acronis True Image for Microsoft Windows Small Business Server does not have an option of separate System State backup. Anyway, the full system image will contain all data, including those parts that are backed up during System State backup. You can find detailed instructions on how to install and use Acronis True Image for Microsoft Windows Small Business Server in the respective User's Guide. If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues. Thank you. -- Marat Setdikov
