    Hi,

Windows Live OneCare, Windows Defender, and Microsoft Forefront Client Security were/are falsely detecting "spywareblaster.exe", a legitimate component of SpywareBlaster 4.1, as a virus. This is a false positive detection.

We've been informed that Microsoft is in the process of updating their products' definitions to resolve this issue.

If you encounter this problem, please ensure you have updated the virus definitions of the affected Microsoft anti-virus / anti-spyware utility installed on your system. (If there are no new updates available, we are fairly certain they will be available soon, so keep checking.)

After updating, Windows Live OneCare / Windows Defender / Microsoft Forefront Client Security should no longer falsely detect "spywareblaster.exe" (and associated registry entries) as a virus. You should then be able to reinstall SpywareBlaster from a fresh download from our download page, and run it, without further trouble: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/sbdownload.html

    Best regards,
