Default ZoneAlarm Anti-Spyware

Hi

I was wondering how good is the anti-spyware part of ZoneAlarm Anti-Spyware?

Has anyone used it? Any comments? Has there been any tests or reviews of it?

Thanks

Recent AV-Test at http://www.virusbtn.com/Session-0f0e...008/03_13a.xml

shows that against spyware 94.5% which is middle of the road compared to other products. Keep in mind however that ZA has a HIPS component that may provide an additional level of protection that this flat file scanning just doesn't test.

Cheers
Jeremy

Hi

I already saw this test. But I thought that also included the excellent Kaspersky engine, which ZA AS does not have.

Good point. The test doesn't make it clear whether the spyware is tested with the ZA AS engine or ZA AS and Kaspersky AS engine together. I don't know of any relevant tests that can help you. Have tried posting in the ZA forums or using their live chat?

Cheers

Hi

I think the test uses both engines, though I'm not sure.

No I haven't, but wouldn't the answer be a bit biased (to say the least)?

I mean ask how their product was tested in the av-test.org test rather than "is your product the best thing since sliced bread"
