Some input regarding this:
Pros: anonymity, a proxy will help hiding 'personal' details (IP address etc.), ability to access sites which have blocked your IP (range), a proxy server may also serve as a cache and thus speed up loading the more popular websites (this is the form ISPs use). Cons: Proxy will see all your traffic, whether this is good thing or bad depends on the proxy operator ![]() They are like computers serving as routers. About them being free or commercial, all I can see is there are lists of free proxies available but here comes the question of trust. Are they good, or bad? Will they be recording your traffic (and passwords etc.) along the way? As to whether there are commercial proxies available, that I'd not know. I'm sure there are plenty of more information on the subject, this is just something quick from me ![]() |
