I have I.E. & Outlook Express & Firefox & Windows Media checked. How about QT and Winamp? Windows Live Messenger? I would think so, am I right?
Should I also be checking the applications that use the internet to check for updates? Example Garmin web updater, Spyware Blaster, Spybot, and many others. |

Hi-For messenger, see these instructions:
http://www.eset.com/support/kb.php?o...&articleid=549 The other applications should be added as web browsers. However, the http filter scans traffic using an internal proxy-so one thing I should add is that if one of your applications has problems connecting through the proxy, I would not add it as a web browser and let the real-time scanner protect you. |

I have "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\ecls.exe" /adv-heur /adware /arch /auto /boots /files /mail /no-log-all /pattern /quarantine /rtp /sfx /subdir /unsafe /unwanted
as instructed in http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=206809 What I'm not sure about is if the above will notify me of an unsafe/virus in a file transfer or would it just quarantine it and ask me what I want it to do? I don't understand command switches. I just copied and paste. ![]() Thank you for your reply. |
