Question EICAR.COM test

How come NOD32 does not pickup EICAR.COM when you run it?
I got a message that test virus was executed "Divide overflow"

Hi, I tested it and everything is reliably detected. How did you run the file?

Form the DOS window.

Windows message: Error executing program! It happened because ESS detected sample before running application. I hadn't message you mentioned.

I am sure i am doing something wrong.When i set NOD32 to auto delete it does not do anything,but when i set it to alert it blocks it form execution.

Do you mean setting the cleaning mode for the real-time protection to strict cleaning?
