AVG 8.0 (free) problem

I installed AVG Version 8 (free version) on Tuesday and Wednesday, when I started my computer, none of my startup programs were working. The mouse would move the cursor around the screen but none of my programs would start with it.

I went into safe mode and uninstalled AVG yesterday and all was fine so I reinstalled it again later in the day. It ran fine but today, the computer again failed to load the startup programs.

I went back into safe mode, uninstalled AVG and all is well now.

I like AVG and was wondering if anyone else had and fixed this problem?

If you check around, AVG 8.0 is not working well for lots of people. The best advice I've seen is to roll back to 7.5 until Grisoft gets things going better...

My auto-update just warned me that ver. 7.5 will not be supported after May 30. I will wait as long as possible.

Is there a link to where the problems with ver. 8 are being tracked or discussed ?
