Is there a way to stop Nod32 scanning my vista gadget. The gadget monitors my temperatures etc. I can open 1 of them and it constantly uses 10% of my cpu everytime the gadget updates the stats.
If I open more than one of them, it makes NOD32 use even more cpu even without that second one monitoring stats. It grabs the info from Lavlys Everest, the link to the gadget is here http://thehobbylounge.com/forum/index.php?topic=4018.0 Is there some way to stop it doing this? Nope, it still hogs 10-11% of cpu and goes totally crazy if I add multiple versions of the gadget. There is also a massive spike of 50%+ when adding it.
I just tweaked everest to not use any cpu, but NOD32 still constanly uses 10% while running ![]() Version 3.0.650.0 Virus signature database: 3021 (20080412) Update module: 1023 (20080229) Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1108 (20080325) Advanced heuristics module: 1070 (20080212) Archive support module: 1075 (20080314) Cleaner module: 1026 (20080228 ) Last edited by Recall : April 13th, 2008 at 11:50 AM. |

Thanks for the replies :S
Anyway the problem is indeed a NOD32 issue, and requires excluding the sidebar gadgets folder from scanning. This issue needs to be fixed! Here is the path to exclude ( uncheck show hidden folders ): C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar |
