Default Build 000.8-000.9 is it Time

I have been waiting for word that the update is safe . I read where a lot of people are running it but there hasn't been any official word. I am using 000.6 because of problems I had with 000.8 on my XP SP1a Home box. Please provide some info. Thank you.

Why won't any ESET people respond to this question?

I think the fact that its posted as the official download, that is ESET's response. Outside of my installation issues, which I'm about 95% sure was a result of a conflict caused by another piece of software (maybe a previous KAV installation) everything has worked fabulously since. In fact, I think the 2.000.8 PCU is slightly faster than 2.000.6.

Go for it!

I just re-installed NOD32 yesterday after using another AV for a while. One of these days I will stop trying out other AVs. To get back on track, the information in my NOD is the same as ronjor's, except for the signature database of course.

My OS is XP Home SP1, and NOD is running great.

With regard to WilliamP's submission:

You can really take my word that the new program component update is gonna be released any time soon, as soon as the Mydoom.A epidemic calms down (hopefully you understand that we cannot afford to overload servers at the time being).

However, if you wanna have it at all cost, you can download the latest installer from our website and re-install NOD32.
