    Hello guys

    just thought i would point out that Mamutu is on giveawayoftheday

    Mamutu monitors in realtime all active programs for dangerous behavior and blocks malicious activities. It recognizes new and unknown Trojans, Backdoors, Keyloggers, Worms, Viruses, Spyware, Adware and Rootkits (Zero-Day attacks), without the need of daily signature updates. Mamutu gives you full control over internal system activities. It’s small but very powerful. Mamutu saves resources and does not slow down the PC.

    Features:
    Monitors live all active programs for dangerous behavior (Behavior Blocking);
    Recognizes new and unknown Trojans, Worms and Viruses (Zero-Day attacks), without daily updates;
    Small but very powerful. Saves resources and does not slow the PC down.

    im just downloading it now

    Does anyone know anything about it? I'm torn because I'm tempted by a free license, but it has to be installed within 24 hours and I'm reluctant to install software I know nothing about.

    If you have ATI 11, you can install it to the Secure Zone to try it out.

    I'm running ATI 10 at the moment, and I do have a Secure Zone on one of my backup hard drives, but I'm not sure how I could try it out from there? Isn't the Secure Zone just an invisible fat partition? I don't know if it would even run there.

    I suppose I could create an FDISR snapshot and try it there, but I was really looking for feedback from someone who had used it. For example, is it better or worse than BOClean?

    Please read the text file which comes with the download. I qouted from that.
    Besides updates is something different sometimes than upgrades.
    Cheers,

    Yes but only for a year. Download and install from GAOTD and you will see the validity period expiring 27/2/2009.

    This product is from EMSI the developers of A2. They are a highly respected company. I am not sure but I think its a lot like BoClean as it operates in memory & apparently scans memory. It seems to be a good product. I think I will make a snapshot & try this out.

    Yeah, those are the giveawayoftheday standard terms and conditions, but in this case they are overridden by the statement on the website.

    What you get is a free full license for one year.

    I've just installed it. Emsi are the a squared people, so they've got a good track record. Looks pretty good and doesn't seem to impact any of my existing malware.

    Edit: and I see that before starting this post and actually posting it, other people have made all these points for me.

    :ouch:

    Hi, Christian

    Thanks for the offer and the new link.

    Everything seems going fine; downloading, installation, activation, BUT
    when I log in with my existing acct info, then click LOG IN,
    Nothing is happening after that. I check running process, mamutu guard is not running. I try to run it manually thru process monitor, failed.

    Could something prohibits it from running ?

    Thanks.
