Default Page loading times for AV 3 and AV 2.7

I recently upgraded from 2.7 to V 3 and noticed that various webpages seemed to load much slower. I tried to find out the reason http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=205081 hoping for some configuration issue but was only advised uninstall / reinstall. Official support only suggested the same.
I subsequently did this but the issue remained the same.

I have now done a little experiment (unscientific, I know) and timed a few pages and how quickly they loaded in Version 3 (default), Version 3 (Blackspear's settings) and Version 2.7 (Blackspear's settings). I considered the page fully loaded once the hourglass vanished. FWIW, the browser used is Opera 9.27.
The result did not surprise me and I appreciate that this will be influenced by what else I may be running on my rig. Also my location in relation to the site location will play a role and to be fair, some pages may have slightly changed in between tests depending on which ad was fed at the time. However at least for me the outcome is clear and I would be interested to hear what others may have to say and if they can do a similar comparison, if this matches my experience:

Here is how to read the data:

Website link and underneath the results for
Version 3 Default - Version 3 (BS setting) - Version 2.7 (BS setting):

http://www.smh.com.au/ Sydney Morning Herald
14 sec / 13 sec / 4 sec

http://www.spiegel.de/ Der Spiegel
19 sec / 26 sec / 17 sec

http://www.slate.com/ Slate
46 sec / 80 sec / 17 sec

http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ Giveaway of the Day
21 sec / 27 sec / 10 sec

http://www.wilderssecurity.com/index.php Wilders Forum
3 sec / 3 sec / 3 sec

Not loading any pictures or ads obviously works in favour of Wilders
- however, some of the other sites are clearly way too slow.

Now, as mentioned this may be due to my system and the fact that I ran this test sandboxed, but I am not trying to compare Nod with another AV or my browser with another browser. I would like to run the latest version of NOD but if I cannot bring down the loading times to the times of the original Version 2.7 (which is set up in BS paranoid mode), then something in the latest version does slow down browsing.

Do you always run sandboxed? Why not try your test again without the sandbox?

I had similar problems. I suggest you run the default settings in the "Real-time file system protection" and deselect advanced heuristics in "Web access protection". I have also deselected Self-extracting archives and Runtime packers in the "Web access protection" but this is a personal preference. I run opera 9.5 sandboxed and i see no difference between 2.7 and 3. Hope this helps

Yes, unless I want some setting to "stick" or for updating. I believe using a sandbox does reduce overall risk with respect to browsing considerably.
