Default Again- ominous signs about ProSecurity

The silence at ProSecurity's support forum has become deafening, as witness THIS and also THAT, as well as long time unanswered help requests such as THIS.

PS is a great HIPS, but the frequent & protracted absences by its one-man staff are not confidence builders.

Not long ago I was thinking of purchasing PS but I too saw that the forums support is not that active To bad because it seems like a good product. Was going to try to trade in my old PG license..

Thanks,

Chris

We have seen this before with PS, but then came a number of bug-releases/ new versions etc.

It was not long ago the same was said about SSM.

I have no personal concern at the moment with this.

Hi,

This is a sad but frequent situation with PS forum. Like Lzx32 have indicated on the link given by the OP, the developper of PS is working hard and when he does that he generally doesn't answer often in his forums

You also have to remember that prosecurity is a one man show...

@Chris,

Don't let this situation disturb you and not buy PS, it is an excellent replacement for PG (wich I had previously).

Best regards,
Atomas31

Ditto on both counts. I like Stem am not paricularly worried. I traded in my PG license and have not looked back.

For those not looking at the PS Forum you may like to take a look at the following thread:

http://www.proactive-hips.com/yabb/y...num=1203987502

as apparently there is an official PS forum (in Chinese) and it's very active in comparison to the English forum...which is a good sign.

Hi,

Can you provide the link to PS's Chinese web site or forum, because I can not get thru its Chinese option on PS's English web site.

Thanks.

I expect things will pick up shortly, but I must say that even if this product was not developed any further, it's worth the price.

but PS is alive and kicking...

English forum management, however, isn't so good as expected because there isn't a real reference figure (except a few like nick s for ex...) that is able to support customer when PS_Dev is in "full immersion" state...

Although on this board PS has not a great echo, it is really an excellent hips...

Yes, I can confirm that there are lots of activity on the said forum.

And the Dev has emerged on Jan.29 2008 to announce the release of 1.43.

You know in China, they do have an annual Chinese New Year LONG LONG holiday, no less than Christmas-New Year thing in Here. Hang-over or the sort of THE DAY AFTER effect has to be tolerated and forgiven/ forgotten.

I am sure HE will come out and say few words. Or Perhaps he is taking TOFEL course,
