Can someone point me to instructions for renaming a URL link in
a post from something like this:

    hxxp://aaaaaaaaaaaaaa.com

to a link name of my choosing?

    Thanks.

Not sure just where they are in the instructions but if you click the Quote button in the lower right of this post you will see how it is done.

Thanks!! Worked great. Been searching the forum for weeks to find out how to
do that. Used wrong keywords I guess.

You can even use smilies (and other images) if you want to:
    :) (<- clickable smiley)

I think the FAQ is a bit search unfriendly so asking (and trial and error) is the best way to find out :).

I just type the text that I want to become the link and then highlight it, then click the "Insert Link" button and type or paste in the web address for the link. Then when I hit "OK" in the Insert Link box the highlighted text will then become the link.
