Default No Red Crosses

Hi,
New to NOD. Trying to set up e-mail clients and web browsers in Advanced settings for POP3/HTTP proxy. Can toggle between green tick and "nothing" in the various check boxes, but I never see a red cross. I am surely doing something wrong?
Thanks

Red crosses are only available under 'Web browsers' if the option under 'Protocol filtering' is set to 'Ports and applications marked as Internet browsers or email clients'.

Thank you, Sir. Another "Doh" moment passes!
They seem to be more frequent as I grow older.
