Default Ad blocker needed

AdMuncher 4.71 does not get along with Online Armor.
AdMuncher 4.72 beta does not stop ad's in Opera 9.25
Does anyone know of a good Ad blocker that works with both?
Tired of all these ads poping up without my ad muncher.

Was using Super Ad Blocker-highly recommended, but now every browser has a provision for blocking ads-in the case of IE7,download IE Pro(free)

If you are running IE7 the best two free options IMO are-

http://www.quero.at/ (toolbar can be hidden)

Has anyone ran IE7pro and IEPlus together at the same time? I would enable only the spellcheck option in IE7pro and everything else with IEPlus.

Yers, they dont conflict, but there was no advantage except if you like a particular function as you do.Apart from that they overlap.

If you install the latest beta of OA, Admuncher should work with us now.

Like you, I prefer to use an all around ad blocker if possible. I also use Ad Muncher but I'm still on 4.71. (I don't normally try their betas.) I don't use Online Armor so that's not an issue for me. I have Opera 9.25 on my PCs but don't really care for it and never use it. As you noted, Ad Muncher 4.71 works ok with Opera. (Have you emailed Ad Muncher support and told them the beta doesn't work with Opera?)

Anyway, I have thought for quite some time that if I were to dump Ad Muncher (and although I haven't tried it) based on my good experiences with SUPERAntiSpyware, I'd be willing to give SUPERAdBlocker a try. They seem to make good stuff...

Hi Lonewolf,

Latest OA beta (including 69) works with both AM 4.71 & 4.72
Just installed Opera 9.25 (international setup) to try and AM is mooing like a crazy cow
Try to manually add opera process to the filter targets from Option/filter targets

regards,

MaB

I use Hostsman.
Maybe it doesn't speed up browsing for all, but it did give a boost for me so I skipped adblock plus in firefox. Hostsman blocks ads in all browsers since it blocks the ad servers in the hosts file.

Firefox with AdBlockPlus and the built-in pop-up blocker trumps Opera 9.25 for me.

Thanks to Cerxes and LoneWolf for the heads up on the Fanboy site. I run Ad Muncher at home but elsewhere, the Fanboy listings for FF and Opera are excellent additions.

It's especially nice to have good ad blocking for Opera. Prior to this, I never had any ad blocking in Opera that worked as well as this...

Is Fanboy's ad blocking list good on Firefox? Anyone compare it to the other lists such as EasyList/EasyElement?

edit: this warning on the EasyList website makes me not want to try Fanboy's list:
