Default Prevx2 and Orange Icon in Tray

Intermittently, Prevx 2 shows an Orange Icon in the Taskbar tray even though the Program Activity box shows all green.

I have sent 2 requests to Prevx support thru the support option and have received no reply.

Has anyone experienced this? Any solutions?

Many thanks,

Silver

Hi Silver,

Not sure why support hasn't replied, but this is caused by a minor race condition (usually just following startup). Basically, when the system is under heavy load many behavioral events are raised in quick sucession and they are processed in parallel. Occasionally, becuase of the the thread scheduling in windows, events can finish processing out of logical order. This means that by the time they are reported to the console they are out of step and the console gets a little confused; under certain circumstances the console reports an incorrect Amber status in the system tray icon.

It should be fixed in the next release.

Regards,

Darren
