Default description of ESS compared to Nod32 on Eset site

I have a Nod32 AV license on my computer right now. I recently went to read the description of ESS on the Eset site and it says:

"Built on the award-winning ESET NOD32® Antivirus and its powerful ThreatSense® engine, ESET Smart Security provides antispyware, antispam and customized firewall features."

I really don't need a fireall or antispam, but I thought Nod32 AV also detected spyware? Am I wrong on this issue?

No, it does deal with spyware. What you don't get is the added capabilities in this domain provided by a firewall (naturally).
