2.7 will not unistall

I am trying to uninstall 2.7 to replace with v3 and I am being told that the uninstall file is missing or damaged.I have had a look and cannot find the said file.Any ideas how to uninstall this?

Yes . v2 is corrupted in some way and that is why you cannot uninstall it. You must first perform repair install of v2 , reboot and after that you can proceed

... First ...

1. Download fresh new Eset NOD32 2.70.39 from http://www.eset.com/download . Make sure that you choose the correct version (Home edition 2.7)
2. Start installing it . The first screen will appear asking you to perform Repair install and keep your settings =>>>> do so and press [NEXT]
3. Reboot when necessary

... After reboot ...

1. Uninstall your v2 from Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs
2. Reboot the computer when prompted
3. Delete manually this folders:

- C:\Program files\ESET

4. Do not surf the web nor open any emails . Just visit ESET's web page again and download v3 http://www.eset.com/download v3 Home edition
5. Install using Typical install . Make sure the program updates itself after installation

Hello there I have downloaded the v2.7 and on installation after extracting the files I am getting an error

Megane , I have forgotten what exaclty error 107 means but generally it may mean you don't have enough space , or problem with temp directories , problem with rights for the registry or something else is corrupting the files (e.g. Bagle worm , although this is unlikely) .

Version 3 supports in-place upgrade . This means that you need to just run v3's installer and it will probably install itself on the top of v2 (you can even keep your settings) . So , this this .

May be somebody else knows what error 107 exactly means

v3 will not install either because it says old version needs to be uninstalled first.

I am out of ideas since I don't know what exactly error 107 means , I am sorry.

megane1, welcome to Wilders . You can find Installation Error 107 here. Have you tried using Revo Uninstaller to uninstall version 2?

Yes I have trie revo uninstaller and with the uninstall file missing that dosnt work either.
