How to create secret web mail account?

I use Thunderbird and have a mail solution from my ISP, and I will still use this for most.

But sometimes I visit risky (but legal) sites. To get access to all content I have to register with email adress. It scares me a bit so I dont want to use what I have today. I want to create a new mail account (web based?) that has nothing to do with Thunderbird or the mail accounts I already have. I dont want to download emails to my computer.

I need a safe solution so that no one else can ever read my emails.

Would a hotmail account do?

Any advice?

In addition to the above suggestions, I would simply look at one of the many free email services.
Just use their web mail service (not setting it up in your TBird), and nobody will know you have it (just make sure you clean out browser's history/cache after visiting said site.

I like to use kasmail when I create an account on some web site.
Even webmail is as secure as your own computer, because at the end the message (attachment) gets downloaded on it.
If you look for spam protection, then a disposable address would be a good fit.
