Error E00070020

Hi all,
I upgraded from version 10 to 11 last week. Now I backup fine but just the validation gives the famous E00070020 error. Research on the forums suggest memory testing while other refer to perhaps a bug. I can mount the image fine but can't test the restore. I may go back to 10 and test it and report back the results if 10 works. I seen one interesting post about intel drivers but I do get the same error from the Rescue CD as within Windows XP validation. Backup is 160G so can't reproduce backup too quickly. I am running the latest release build 8053.

I will dismiss any memory problems if 10 works without this error on the same data both my source drive and my external firewire drive being the same in the test.

When I first got 10 I had problems until the later releases. So I am hoping this just hopefully a short lived problem. I just don't trust an image that won't verify. I am within my 30 days and can request a refund but after reading a post on that I will just push through and hope I can resolve it.

Downgraded back to TI 10 build 4942 doing backup. I did a test to see of the TI 10 could validate an 11 Archive but no luck there get a program exception but thats ok backward compatability is all I want not forward (don't expect any comapany to do that). Doing a complete new backup of same drive from Rescue CD as before will take sometime so I will post results tomorrow late.

I won't count my chickens too early but if this is successful then that may prevent me from doing more diagnostics because the only thing that changed is the versions of TI not the hardware or data at this point. Anyway time will tell and I will post results.

Completed my Backup it was successful also cmnpleted the validation of the archive in TI 10 and it was successful too. So on my system TI 10 will backup and validate but TI 11 will only backup and will not validate the same source drives and target.

So what are the thoughts about this I am glad it works in 10 but expected 11 to work also. Appreciate your thoughts here I am fortunate I could go back but do not know if Acronis allows new customers to get the older version of 10 and I know there may be a question of support but you have to use what works.
