Default TIES 9.1.3832 local using a Backup Server

Hi all! Has anyone had any luck pointing a TIES local job to an Acronis Backup Server? Any tricks? I'm trying to set up the job's destination to the server, but when I select my server in the tree view (under 'Acronis Backup Servers' at the top of the tree), I don't get any drill-downs under the server name, and the 'Next' button is greyed out.

I've setup a user on the Backup Server already and a destination for that user. As I understand it, Local installs require a 'user profile' on the backup server, and agent installs require an 'administrator profile.' Since I'm not using agent installs, I haven't set up an administrator profile.

Any tips?

thx in advance!

~Phil

Do you have ImageAgent on both computers?

Hello PhilJ,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Remote Server Backup Software.

Could you please describe in more details what steps are you performing? Please notice that for a User to be able to backup to Acronis Backup Server there needs to be set a User Profile for that user, and there should be assigned a backup location for that User Profile. Those actions can only be performed by Administrator.

You can find more details on using Acronis Backup Server in chapter 3.5 "Acronis Backup Server" of Acronis True Image 9.1 Enterprise Server User's Guide.

Thank you.

Using a *local* install - as stated above - not an agent install.

As I've already stated, I have set up a user profile already for the domain account the remote servers are using.

When I create a schedule job on the remote server and attempt to choose a backup location, I go to 'Acronis Backup Servers' in the tree, and the backup server is listed. However, no items show underneath the server, and if I have the server item selected, the schedule wizard will not let me continue - the 'Next' button is grayed out.

Hello PhilJ,

Could you please provide a screenshot of the problem screen?

Thank you.
