Default Your opinion on PortableApps and U3!

Hello!

I have been using U3 for a while, but i am changing to PortableApps now. I was disappointed with U3. They have nice programs that you can use but using it is very difficult!

I would like to know about your experiences on U3 and PortableApps?

Thank you in advance!

I have a SanDisk Micro and ended up deleting the U3 software and now use PortableApps. Free apps are nice and I've found most of the programs work fine.

You may want to have a look HERE Post #13 in particular. This is back from 2005 but seems to fit your situation.

I originally liked U3 too but soon tired of all the extra time it took load. While I really appreciate everything Mr.Haller has done (and I do use some of his work), I don't bother with his PortableApps menu. With more than 2GB of things on my USB drive, a menu just isn't practical...

My exp was about half the portable apps were truely portable. When tried on another computer they didn't work.
