Gotta agree. Just built a new machine and running Vista Home Premium (about 1 week). I'm impressed so far with Vista and not experiencing the problems most people have complained about.

Waiting the 11 months helped because all of the necessary drivers have been updated in the interim.

    same here :thumb:

    again same here, :thumb:
I had one driver problem with an old capture card that didn't work properly on XP anyway. Much smoother transition than from 98 to XP, for me at least.

It sucks. It's a ripoff of another OS, it runs much slower than XP, it has compatibility issues, and last but not least: audio in Vista is fubar.

XP SP2 home until I get another machine. I sorta want to skip over Vista in favor of the next MS OS.

Vista on my laptop, and XP Pro SP2 on my desktop. I have to use vista for day to day tasks and gaming though, because its my laptop that goes to uni with me - the desktop stays at home.

Frankly, I love Vista - I have had not one single issue with it. All the issues I had were due to the Acer CrapWare that was pre-installed when I received it. With that removed, it runs fast and smooth, even for games!

Granted it is not as fast as XP (yet) but it is sure to improve with time. Nvidia are releasing new drivers pretty much every week on their Beta page - and each one is faster than the last.
