It's in Slovak. It should occur only on Vista when open applications are detected. I'm sorry for this inconvenience, it happened while doing some last-moment changes to an xml file, we'll fix this shortly.

Thanks for the update! A nice christmas present from ESET.

    I get this too.

However, all screens after this seem to be okay, and the product itself is fine (all in English). Must be just that one page of the installer.

    Steve.

Extended options available from system tray menu. Does this mean right click on
tray icon shows options ? Doesn't work.
Would not install over previous version. Could not uninstall previous version without some fancy footwork.

    GUI

    · Extended options available from system tray menu

How do we see the system tray menu? Right click the icon?

You can either "Right click the icon" or with your mouse pointer, click the Eset tray icon one time and the menu appears.

Yes, to "open main screen", one has to double click. However, what Marcos was referring to was the new system tray menu, which is what I assumed you were asking about.

That's what I am talking about. Right click on tray icon, does nothing. Other tray icons work ok.

You don't see the below menu ? Did you have problems seeing the limited menu that was in previous builds of 3.0 ?

I get nothing if I right click on the Tray Icon. I never have. Is this just an EAV thing?

Never saw that menu from day one. I did a repair install and no workie still.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times because of problems.
I am running XP PRO. Maybe it only works with Vista ?

No other problems with tray icons\menus

:isay: I do appologize, I got so caught up in all the seasonal spirit of the forums of late and overlooked that I was in the ESS Forum. That pic above is indeed from EAV. Please do overlook the above post. I'll go back to decorating the forum for the party and mixing the egg nog :(

I have ESS and I get the right-click menu items plus a few more options pertaining to the firewall - I am running XP x64.

    Open window
    computer scan...
    Update
    Advanced setup...
    Block network traffic
Do not filter network traffic (Disable firewall)
    Disable antivirus and antispyware protection
    Show network connections
    Log files
    Quarantine

I just opened a ticket with Eset. That is really strange. My other computer doesnot have the menu either.
Wonder if I have some windows component that is not the latest or does not match what ESS is looking for. That would be a bitch to find unless Eset has an idea.
Just have to wait for them to get back to me after the holidays.
    Both machines have latest update.

I'm running XP x64 too. It's weird that you do and I don't. I'll probably get it at some point.

I am unable to even download this new version. Was it pulled back due to the above mentioned problems?

I downloaded it from the UK site around 1hr ago (didn't encounter any Slovak during installation either!).

Extended system tray options work too (Vista 64).

A dumb question: Is it supposed to be that there's no context menu if you are right-clicking on the tray-icon?

I heard that there should be a context-menue. I had this problem in earlier builds of NOD32 too.

    Greetings

    Timo

In the UK ESET site there is only v566, that is in the registered section.
I got mine from the USA site.

    That at 10.36 am Saturday.
